The Tysons Apps Team

Picture
We're a small team that loves to tackle large problems.  Tysons Apps was founded in 2012 by Jared Alexander and Rose Blais Alexander, who share a love for technology and software development.

From writing product specifications to quality assurance and more, Rose wears several hats to ensure our clients always receive outstanding applications.  Jared leads Tysons Apps' development and brings over 12 years of software development experience and six years of app development experience to the team.  They both have private and public sector software/product development experience and are active in the DC Tech Community.

Jared loves building apps across both mobile and wearable platforms. In addition to his work for Tysons Apps, he has built apps for both the public sector while working at MITRE and the private sector while working on financial apps at Capital One.

Jared is also an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University and teaches Android development to both undergraduate and graduate students. It is incredibly rewarding and many of his students have now landed full-time app development jobs! In addition to teaching at GW, Jared teaches 2-day iOS and Android bootcamps, which provide hands-on mobile development training.

Jared frequently presents on mobile development topics at meetups, hackathons, and conferences.

Jared holds an M.S. in Computer Science from George Washington University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia.
